How to take care of Coco Rhipsalis
Cares
Attention plant killers, Coco Rhipsalis is your plant… easy to care for, it is the ideal little plant for the office.
Watering
They are not very delicate plants, so they do not need much water or much care. Still, they are not the same as cacti, and they need to be watered at least once a week. As with most plants, it is important to prevent water from pooling in the roots to prevent them from rotting.
Temperature
The ideal temperature is between 18 and 20º. In winter it should not drop below 10º.
Ilumination
Rhipsalis are shade plants, so they don’t tolerate direct sunlight very well. It is ideal to have them indoors, in a clear space to favor their growth and not impede their flowering.
Origins
Original from the rainforests of South America, the Caribbean and Central America. There are about 35 different varieties. The best known are rhipsalis puniceodiscus, rhipsalis cassutha, rhipsalis pilocarpa, rhipsalis oblonga. They are characterized by creating long green branches, creating extraordinarily beautiful waterfalls.
